Kerry Anne Kazokas is an artist in Northfield, who has a small studio gallery called Freedom Art Studio on 74 Parker Avenue/ Main Street, Northfield MA. Kerry studied at Mass Art in Boston and completed her BFA at the University of New Mexico. The artist has been extremely involved in developing an appreciation for the arts in the town of Northfield since her early twenties.
Kazokas opened and operated the Freedom Art Gallery when she was 23 years old, where she exhibited well over 20 local artists’ work, she was also invested in helping to start up the Northfield Arts Group, which is still active today. She also created the Freedom Art Scholarship for graduating seniors who have an interest in the arts.
She wrote, directed and produced 3 plays for teenagers over 3 consecutive summers, with the help of friend, Gretchen Licata of Northfield. Currently, Kerry is finishing a 3 year long movie project of Northern Lights Productions. The artist wrote the screenplay, which was submitted to Michael Schena of Northern Lights Productions, and selected for production 3 years ago. The artist worked with best friend Gretchen Licata to direct and produce the movie last year. Now, the project is being edited by Kazokas and Schena. The project is hoped to be completed and ready for public viewing this January 2006.
In the meantime Kazokas has been busy creating fine art in her newly opened Freedom Art Studio which is located directly across the street from the original Freedom Art Gallery. Kazokas is focused upon creating Artwork that represents her love for the land and her divine connection to it.
"Eleven Eleven, MAKE A WISH," is a showing of her wide range of fine artwork. The Opening is on 11/11/2005, which whenever she has seen 11:11 on the clock it is a reminder that she is on the right track, some have speculated that it is a spiritual number, Kazokas just believes that when she sees it she, can make a wish. If she had her wish, she continue to live and work as an artist, creating and sharing her love of the arts with the world.
