Knockin' The Dust Off
May 19, 2007
Had another fun night at Mocha Maya's on Saturday, May 19th. I would
say lots of old friends showed up--but I already used that line--so I will say
it was another great night of music. I was able to video tape it so if I
can figure out how to post a video clip I will post the link for fun.
Got to play "Rain" and "Gently By" twice due to a special audience
request (Kerry and Gretchen).
Next focus--recording some new songs for everyone!!! I will keep
you posted.
Joy Sooths Mocha Maya's
September 30, 2006
Had a wonderful show at Mocha Maya's on Saturday. Lots of
old friends showed up--it was fabulous playing in my home area for
really the first time. I want to thank Chris and Bruce the owners
of Mocha Maya's. It is a great place to play and they love music
so if you are a fellow musician you should consider heading
out that way.
Local writer, Gregory G. Lewis wrote a great review of the night. He
titled it Joy Sumberg Sooths Mocha Maya's.

Barre Good Fun March 18, 2006
A great time was had by all at The Thunderbird Cafe on Saturday.
Lots of old friends (and some new ones) showed up to be entertained.
The result was an intimate evening of storytelling and original acoustic
music. Bobby Jackson was a gracious host and even warmed up the
audience with some classics.

A Brief Update February 8, 2006
This Friday (the 11th) I had the pleasure of playing at Kerry Anne Kazokas' art exhibit at The Green Trees Gallery in Northfield, MA. It was incredible being back in my home town. I got to see people I hadn't seen for over ten years. The exhibit was a huge success!
Joy and Larry at the Middle East September 3, 2005
Joy and the Journeyman played their hearts out this Friday at the Middle East (Corner). It has been very rewarding to play these past few time with Larry Kennedy. A true gentleman. After this performance I will be taking time to develop my solo music project with some new musicians. Keep an eye out.
Joy and The Journeyman April 27, 2005
I had the pleasure of playing with Larry Kennedy, harpist and co-founder of Neptune Bay, down at Grumpy's this past weekend. It was wonderful to reconnect with him and I am pleased to say he is doing great and playing at the blues jams down in Falmouth. We played some of the originals we love performing so much "Old Friends," "Here in My Life," "A Place for Us," "Gently By," and others. We are thinking playing out togther as, "Joy and the Journeyman." If you see the name around, you will know who it is.
